Slugshooters

Using gunpowder, an invention coined by the seven ships before they even reached the nine isles of Canton, slugshooters use combustion to launch a bolt at insanely high speeds (though with lower accuracy than most bows). The technology comes in three common forms, though other uses are constantly cropping up:

Cannons

Cannons were the first slugshooters, massive metal tubes that lauched lead balls into enemy vessels and fortifications. Very little about a cannon's construction has changed since they were first introduced.

Blunderbusses

Blunderbuss are little more than miniaturized cannons that launch lead bolts, and were designed for use against individuals instead of ships. Their recoil is so staggering that they are built with a port for mounting on a ship's side or a stand.

Sixbolt

Sixbolts are the smallest slugshooters commonly available. They launch tiny lead bolts at high speed, and have remarkable accuracy when time is taken to aim them.
