  Description
The Xoggda are twisted amalgamations of canine and cephalopod, exhibiting a grotesque blend of traits. Their bodies are muscular and thin, draped in an inky, shifting membrane. Instead of a dog-like head and tail, the body ends with a writhing, slender tentacle on each end. The tentacles undulate and writhe like serpents, exuding an aura of sinister intelligence. Each tentacle is tipped with a set of razor sharp appendages, capable of slicing through flesh and bone with chilling precision.
Xoggda are notorious pack hunters, driven by an insatiable craving for the scent of death and the tang of freshly spilled blood. They run with great speed and precision, outpacing the fastest of horses. They move with an eerie grace otherwise, prowling the continent in a pack, never far from a settlement. Their senses are attuned to the subtlest traces of suffering; without eyes, they sense fear and are known to follow the trail of anguish and pain. Their method of dispatching victims is as gruesome as it is efficient. The Xoggda employ their tentacles with gruesome dexterity, encircling their prey before delivering swift, decapitating strikes that leave no room for escape. The grim precision of their lethal appendages ensures that their hunts end swiftly, and the severed heads of their prey become grisly trophies. Once they’ve killed their prey, they feast upon the opened body with their tentacles, which also act as proboscises, sucking the life force out of the corpse. While the Xoggda are formidable, they can be killed if one slices off both tentacles.
It has been found that if you try and cut a Xoggda in half anywhere on the body, the severed limb or torso of each will grow back into a new Xoggda. It has been witnessed that the Xoggda purposely attempt to mutilate themselves in the Shroud in a way to reproduce. Careful of harming the Xoggda, the ferocity of the pack will increase exponentially the more you kill, even neighboring packs will be alerted in their hive mind to any slain.
