  Preface
I long thought of making an entry about myself as overtly egotistical, or potentially as a risk. But have since come to the conclusion that it would simply be good practice toward the end of comprehensive documentation of Caligone. Description
I appear as an aged human male, though I supposed that's just what I am. My typical garb is a black robe of my own making. My hair has long since grayed, but kept short so as to easily be hidden under a hood. My facial hair is often less well kept and more noticeable. You may have even seen me around yourself.
History
My name is Kaine, which I gave to myself with no one else to give a name to me. My knowledge of my own age is merely an estimate, but I know that my conception was approximately a decade after the emergence of the shroud. Like everyone else, I wandered the barren shroud for many years on my lonesome around this time, reaching maturity well before settlements would crop up. I constructed a place of refuge for myself at around this time, but will refrain from divulging into details about that topic. After the other humans began to congregate more widely, I made it a habit to join their settlements temporarily to see what I could learn from them. Since then I have been recording everything that I have learned about Caligone.
Present
Presently, the acquisition and documentation of my knowledge is the forefront of my efforts. My h̶o̶p̶e̶ expectation is that one day this knowledge will accrue to a point where it can be used to conclude answers to the mysteries of this world; like its Shroud, the monsters, and myself.
