Description
The Entenbohrer are a collection of beast-like creatures affected by the Shroud and the Eldritch beings themselves. Unlike the Xoggda, who show hivemind-like behavior, the Entenbohrer are more of an ecosystem of sorts. I believe the hounds are what used to be the local predators of the environment that used to thrive during the times before the Shroud.
The looks of the hounds vary from region to region. The northern regions tend to have larger, quadrupedal beasts covered in abnormally thick fur, being able to absorb a small amount of blows from mundane weaponry. Additionally, these kinds of beasts have jaws with enormous, sharp teeth, as well as an incredible sense of smell and tracking skills. Be wary of their exceptional stealth and stamina. On average, a well trained soldier may be able to hold their own against this beast
More flat areas, as well as marshy areas have smaller beasts, but these are by no means unproportionately strong to their size. These beasts have large tusks, with surprisingly strong hides. They charge forward, and, if lucky, you may be able to dodge their attacks. Typically, a decently trained warrior can slay one with little issue.
Forests tend to harbor the most deadly of beasts. Larger than a man, members of this breed are able to stand on their hind legs and deliver deadly amounts of force, enough to crush an armored soldier with ease, with their giant paws, in addition to slashing you with their razor sharp claws. A soldier would be lucky to slay one on their own. My advice for facing this kind of beast? Run.
