  Description
In the southwest of the continent, one happens upon a certain settlement that is surely a sight to behold. A giant dome made of glass stands in the middle of the plains, and inside is a perfectly functional, if not Maddened, society. I know not when it was first built, but it must have been before the year 100, as that was the first time I discovered it in my wanderings. There is only one entryway into Anderfelden, but it is more apt to call it merely an exit. They let no outsiders in; it is only used to expel their residents that have broken any one of their numerous laws.
As I am an outsider, I have never been able to venture inside, but I have heard some tales of what it is like across the glass, from those that have been thrown out. Anderfelden is a settlement completely without magic; in fact, they ban its practice. The only protection from the Shroud is the little they get from the dome. They keep the dome sealed as much as possible to stop the Shroud from leaking in, but it does not work much. Due to their lack of magical defense against the Shroud and its effects, almost all of the people within are Mad, but, somehow, the dome does stop most from becoming thralls. Many of the people expelled from its walls are magic users, who had broken the mortal sin, in their eyes, of allowing the Shroud to take root in the settlement.
