Caledos

Long ago when there were only the 3 elder Gods (Caledos, Tempus, and Nihil), the rest of the gods were created. The elder gods sacrificed themselves to create their children, Caledos became the earth, a blank template for the new gods to work their will upon. Tempus became the fabric upon which magic and time operate. Nihil, however broke his part of the agreement, he used part of his life force to become the sky, space and the stars, but saved enough of it to still have as much power as the new Gods would.
These things all men know, what is less known is how Aleria came to be. At first the new gods all cooperated to craft the land and peoples upon Caledos, everything being perfect and all peoples being perfect. The Serpent Spine Mountains were created first, encircling the width of the world to hold it all together. After the single mountain range all the land was added, one large mass, and each God given a chance to shape their own part as they wanted.
This is where the trouble started, the Gods started to fight and bicker amongst themselves, the fighting and bickering created discord in the world. The land fractured putting seas and oceans in between various land masses. The one mountain range broke into many smaller mountain ranges with part it no longer being straight but now having many curves and bends. From this chaos the rest of the lands and then the people were created.
