Princess Rainbow

I got lasers, y'all!

Princess Rainbow is a student at the College of Magical Girl Studies, and is a classmate of Mystical Twilight Duchess Moondrop.
Princess Rainbow's powers are technology based and focus on the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. She wears a suit in rainbow colors, red in her lower torso, spreading out to violet at her toes and the top of her head. The suit resembles mechanically assisted body armor, and includes an attached pack that both charges her power and focuses her abilities.
She activates a power by choosing a wavelength to radiate from her hand. This radiation can be focused into a tight beam, like a laser, or emit more broadly, like a globe light. The specific wavelength chosen determines the effect that results. Shorter wavelengths have a healing effect. Longer wavelengths cause damage. In addition, how far the wavelengths are from the center of the visible spectrum determines what target the power will affect. Mid-range wavelengths (manifesting as green and yellow) affect spirit. Further away (blue and orange) affect the mind. The ends of the visible spectrum (violet and red) affect the body.
There is also a power limitation. While Princess Rainbow absorbs energy from the sun through her pack, this happens much more slowly than she can expend energy, so she cannot continuously use her powers for long periods. Shorter wavelengths have more inherent energy, and thus use up available energy faster. This does, however, make them, generally easier to use effectively. Longer wavelengths take longer, or more tries, to achieve most desired effects.
Princess rainbow lacks finesse and a deep understanding of what her powers can do. Because of this she tends to use only wavelengths that are very long or very short. Finesse and understanding is most of what her professors wish to instill in her. They believe she can be more effective and less terrifying if she learned what small amounts of power can do when operating on the spirit or mind.
