Incubi / Kurhan

Incubus is the name given by Caldonians to male jahannan -- though the proper name is kurha (plural: kurhan).   Jahannan sexual dimorphism is so extreme that native Caldonians assumed that males and females were different species for many years. As the perpetuation of their common moniker "demon" demonstrates, jahannan are disinclined to correct such errors, and allowed this misconception to remain unchallenged.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Grendru the Thrice Endowed yanked the curtain aside, displaying his virtues. Even as they blushed, the three harem members anticipated the coming delights, their argument forgotten. Sharing one demon between them would not be a problem after all.

Kurhan are very large, generally about 150% human height.   The skin, eye, and hair coloration of kurhan tend to be darker than their female counterparts. Fewer yellows and more blues are on display in their skin.   The redundant nature of jahannan organs is more pronounced in kurhan than in diyun. Duplication of organs varies by individual, but any given kurha has no less than three hearts and two brains. Other organs are more plentiful than their female counterparts, but are more variable in exact quantity.   Kuran horns are forward oriented generally swirled shapes that grow from the sides of their heads, like mountain sheep, though treading varies widely.   Their wings are generally leathery, fleshy constructions, frequently with claws. These wings are usually not practical for flying, given the weight they must bear, but are tougher than they appear and can be used as weapons or protection in a pinch.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

Kurhan are careful and clever, but not long term planners. They like to succeed, but will use the easiest, most direct approach to achieve their objective.

Behavior

Kurhan are direct and bold in most of their behaviors. When they feed, for instance, they generally approach immediately and negotiate their needs. They are less likely to be squeamish about borrowing life force from other sapients than diyun. They favor this approach in social interactions. Deception is beneath them, especially when their obvious charm and physical power get them most of what they want.
