"We believed there to be presence of demonic influence within the Temple of Hedia. Several clergymen reported sightings of lesser demons such as imps and even more had reported finding a symbol of the eldest God carved into a bust of the lady of light. Carver, the cleric of the temple, had said that brother Arnold ,a new priest from Gilrint was most likely the culprit. Our inquisitors were dispatched. We apprehended the traitor priest and he was executed for the attempted undermining of the Goddess Hedia. His final words proclaimed his innocence. The execution chamber lay silent as our coterie fought with the idea of his innocence. Then an angelic figure , one of most unearthly beauty and conviction appeared. He shown like the sun in the dark temple chamber and we all stood in thrall of his magnificence. Flowing blonde hair and wings of holy fire. He affirmed us that indeed the priest had been a follower of Zol-Roth the cursed enemy and brother of our beloved goddess. He smiled at us before he disapppeared with a warning that more traitors lie in the clergy. Three more Innocents had been executed before we realized that this angel was the Dark God himself. Zol-Roth, the first God of light, is a vain deity that was the first to rebel against the new gods. He and his rival Hedias domains are almost identical , much to the advantage of the Angel of Lies.

Personal history
The original God of light and life , Zol-Roth's vanity became overwhelming. He saw himself as the center of the old pantheon and the mortals that did not worship him were met with scorn. When the new gods were made he was furious and would not cede his place at the center of the pantheon. He immediately rebelled and became the center deity of the Dark gods. To this day he wages war against his sister by way of plots and tricks.
