"I am the only survivor of a group of bandits that attacked what we thought was just a regular woman traveling the countryside. As we ambushed her she seemed to already know that we were there and was ready for us. She drew her Greatsword and cleaved 2 of us in half with one swing but we had numbers and that should be enough. Right? We came at her 3 at a time but it was like attacking a mountain, nothing we did seemed to have much of an effect. She was not killing us, she was merely playing with us. Finally, we landed a solid hit on her leg. That hit should have made her fall to her knees but no. She just started laughing and swinging her sword. in a matter of seconds, she had killed all of them and injured me. I managed to run away from this blood bath and make it to a nearby village who tended to my wounds and saved my life. I gave up the bandits life that day and decided to live a simpler life, one where I never have to come across that thing again. I can still hear her laugh and see her cut my friends down with ease every time I close my eyes. Ebris save me if I ever meet her again."

Rania Argov is a descendant of Cassandra Argov of Gilrint's founders. Cassandra formed the Gilrint army and trained them. This tradition of the Argov training their troops is a long one that is still held today. Rania being head of the military is also the head of the mercenaries whom she rents out to any kingdom during a war for the right price. The Gilrint mercenaries are the best in the known world due to how well they have been trained and always getting their pay on time. The mercenaries of Gilrint are loyal to Gilrint, not their paycheck because Gilrint is their home and they are free to live whatever life they wish there and you can't find that anywhere else.

Rania knew how to use a sword before she knew how to talk. She was a prodigy when it came to fighting, never losing a fight despite being injured so badly she nearly died on the spot. She would just keep getting up and fighting no matter how bad the wound was and would not stop until her opponent was dead. Rania killed her first man when she was only 10, it was a boy of age 16 in her father's army. They were sparing with each other and the boy got far to aggressive with this 10-year-old child and nearly cut her sword arm clean off. Unfortunately for him, it was still attached enough for her to use it. Rania let out a primal scream of rage as a laugh escaped her lips and a smile crossed her face she attacked him with the unbridled rage of Loftis but with a look of madness in her eye more akin to the insanity of Gorjil. By the time her father made it to them, the boy was dead and unrecognizable and Rania was still laughing as she was holding her arm keeping it from falling off. Realizing what had happened her father called for a healer to mend his daughter's arm. She had to train with more experienced soldiers from that point on. Her father died 8 years later of an unknown cause making her the new leader of the army.
