Cult Of The Butcher Blessed

The cult of the butcher blessed are few and far between. Though the dark God is invoked frequently , it is rare that someone dedicated themselves to the beast of war. Those that do are often savage killers, powerful warriors, and those with little to lose.

Structure

Organization is not a strength of Kar-Vask and his faithful are equally inclined. All members refer to themselves as " Butchers", while those granted divine powers have higher titles. The inquisitors of Kar-Vask call themselves "Scourges" and act as executioner to coward and deserters alike. His paladins, called "Avengers" usually enact great massacres, assassinations, and generally create hate anywhere they can before themselves dying from someone they have wronged, creating a brutal cycle of hate. Lastly, his clerics, "The Warhearts" are those fully committed to the dark god, they prey for war and Carnage and will go to any length to ensure its coming.

Public Agenda

Not being a centralized cult, it has no true agenda. They do often seek out and attempt to best the followers of Loftis,however.

Assets

Individual members make up the assets of the cult, more often than not they possess only what they carry.

History

The Cult is an ancient institution. It had waned over the years, but was massive amongst the fjorduns during the age of discord.

Mythology & Lore

The Butcher Blessed believe Kar-Vask is a liberating entity; one who does not need the structure of the modern nations, but instead , one that requires only your battle brothers and a weapon in hand.

Divine Origins

The cult has existed since the reign of the old gods, but is now a shadow of it's former self. With the defeat of Loftis at Shinragroth, however, many have come to believe that Kar-Vask is the superior war God.

Ethics

Kar-Vask is a draconian God of cruelty and drives his followers to bloodshed and carnage, even if it was their blood spilled. The most grevious of sins to him is cowardice and betrayal, which will earn you the ire and wrath of the Butchers.

Worship

The only true worship of Kar-Vask is the sticking of an axe through a skull. Anything else seems irrelevant to the faithful.

Priesthood

Members often adorn themselves with the bleeding heart, normally engraved unto armor or weaponry. They also tend to favor black and red armor.

Political Influence & Intrigue

There is little of interest to the cult as far as politics go. They do tend to serve as mercenaries in any given conflict, and some attempt to fan the flames of war between peaceful countries.
