The Bloodtangle

The central island of Cuahpoctli contains the Bloodtangle, a jungle sheltering a nearly impassable landscape. The trees of the jungle grow tall and close together, creating a dense rainforest that wraps around a volcano to the north. Streams wind among the trunks, while bogs, quicksand, and flash floods are common. With hosts of poisonous wildlife, silent predators, and mysterious natives, the Bloodtangle is no place for the unprepared, and is thought to be where scholars from the mainland met their end.
