Brumaire

Brumaire is an ancient and torn battlefield, the aftermath of a war between gods, fighting for petty reasons. The land, as well as their divinity, has been shattered, and the story has been lost to time.   From this ancient conflict where ancestries and civilizations rose and fell, new folks have emerged and built their empire on top of the ruins of those that came before. From the cracks of the wounded earth seeps a supernatural phenomon refered to as the Mist. Where the Mist spreads, the very concept of determinism, fixed geometry and geography, bears no meaning. Landmarks can come closer or spread further overnight, wanderers get lost in repetitive landscapes, and beasts grow more feral and dangerous.   But this didn't deter the new rising powers - and under the guidance of new deities, shattered fragments of the elder gods that fought amongst themselves, the civilizations accross Brumaire tries to cooperate to their best to unearth the ancient history of the planet, and find a way to tame the wild Mist Lands. Some have even succeeded in using Mist Lands as shortcut to conduct trades. This resulted in a a rather peaceful world, where art, knowledge, goods, and people, car navigate freely.   But the most representative example effort of that global effort is the Adventurer's league - a massive and powerful guild spreading accross almost all nations dedicated to explore unknown territories and investigate unsolved mysteries. But their growth in power, sometimes even outshining smaller nations, are the source of a growing mistrust towards the League.
