Elements

"In the beginning, existence was very much like clouds, or so I’ve been told. But this was even before the ancient past in a place so far away that the light from your sun has never reached it.   They were like clouds, but they were made of the four Elements: air, earth, fire, and water. The forces were beings of great power, but if they had minds at all, they were beyond what anyone else could understand. At the core of their nature, they were inclined to conflict, and there was nothing else but the clashing of one against another.”

Basic Information

Anatomy

In their natural form, the Elements are huge, shifting 'clouds' comprised solely of their given element.

Genetics and Reproduction

Very little is known about exactly how they reproduced, but it seemed to be tied into the clashes between them as they fought.

Ecology and Habitats

Originally the Elements inhabited the Aether. But when they were sealed by the Aetheri, they became the stars, planets, and everything in between.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The entirety of the world was made from the Elements when they were sealed away by the Aetheri. Thus, everything in the universe is a product of the Elements, though not by their own intention. Without them, the universe would cease to exist.

Average Intelligence

Unknown. It's been hypothesized that they might have intelligence, but if they do, it is so alien that neither the Gods nor mortals could comprehend it.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Unknown. They have never been shown to take notice of anything besides each other.

Civilization and Culture

History

No one knows where they come from, not even the Gods.   They were the 'parents' of the Aetheri.   They were sealed away by the Aetheri.   They were almost released by a man named Umvor, and during this time, the mythical beasts were spawned by them.
