Broken Cosmos

Long ago, the Shattering happened and all of existence lay scattered across the void. Now, the worlds are torn apart and only hints of their former shape remain as countless continents floating through the Aether left at the mercy of tides of Mana.   In this turbulent universe, many have still managed to build wonders, lay claim to the stars and better themselves for the good of all. Each star in the sky represents one of the fragments of the Old World and those that posses their own sun and moon are suitable places where life can thrive on it's own. From these small hearths great voidfaring civilizations were formed that now scour the broken cosmos in pursuit of resources, new lands and ancient knowledge in their quest for dominance.   Kingdoms across the Aether battle among themselves for wealth and territory while the Dwarven strongholds grow more and more isolated, disappointed in the lack of order across the Broken Cosmos. Free republic of Ismandril enters its fifth century of independence from the slavering Phaendric Empire after an uneasy pact with Exetar, the self proclaimed High King of Zarovian Reach.
