The Han family is matriarchal, with the eldest woman of the family acting as the head.
History
With the land of Jinyo was wrecked with tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions there was a mass fleeing from it's people. Tok Han was the only member of her family to make it off the island, sailing for many hard days and nights on a small boat with her nine children. They had little food or fresh water, and only six of the children survived the trip. When their boat hit the rocky shores of the Herron peninsula of Hubica Tok set straight out to building a new life for her surviving children. She built a house and farm and soon started the first trading post in the area. Her children carried on this tradition, expanding the Han trade empire. They were known as a reliable, hardworking and trustworthy business. Over the generations, the Han business has expanded to become the largest merchant business in Brenner. But that isn't to say that they don't have their shadier side. One of Tok's granddaughters, Su Han , started using the family's business assets to buy and sell on the black market. This branch of the family has also continued to this day, dealing in the sale of illegal goods and services, and is known as the Han-Su branch.
