Potzhim
or Zhim
Potzhim (or zhim, a shortened and slightly slangy form) is the currency minted by the Order of Adall, and used by the majority of the Three People. There are five denominations of coins:
- Triangle - The smallest amount of money, the usual wage for two hours of common labor (maidservice or manual)
- Rhombus - Size of two triangles, worth 24 triangles, or approximately one week's common labour (working 8 hours a day for six days)
- Trapezoid - Size of three triangles, worth 12 rhombuses
- Chevron - Size of four triangles, worth 8 trapezoids, or approximately three years' common labour
- Hexagon - Size of 24 triangles, worth 6 chevrons
History
Although the original means of exchange were produced by individual countries, it has since fallen upon the Order of Adall to do so, as it is one of the basic ways to maintain continuity between the Three People, along with language.Mechanics & Inner Workings
