Brandara

The world itself, Brandara is home to many creatures and a variety of vegetation, most touched in some way by the chaotic power of Arcen.

Geography

When dealing with the entirety of Brandara, it is usually mapped with the Heart Isles at the center, and the three remaining continents circling them, due to the importance of the Heart in the myths of almost every nation. The Heart Isles are a ring of hot, sandy islands- a few possess small jungles- and the three largest isles of the ring possess towering, active volcanoes, which radiate a heat so extreme that most living things that make it to those islands die- either from heat stroke, dehydration, or being literally burned alive. On every non-volcanic island in the ring, there live a multitude of monsters which hunt each other and the sea life for survival. In the center of these Heart Isles lies the Heart itself, an isle which is little more than a barrier between the ocean and the lake which sits within it. In the center of this lake lies an enormous volcano- believed to be the biggest in all Brandara-, and from this volcano emanates a heat far stronger than the volcanoes which guard it give off, yet those who submerge themselves in the lake are safe from this heat, instead enveloped by the cool, refreshing, crystal clear water- at least until a monster which may live in the lake eats them.
