Everything hurt when i woke up. My ribs the most but my head wasnt far off. Another fight, this time we almost didnt wake up. We rose in pretty quick order, everyone made it. Cormag Gwenda and Arya still had some healing and tended to our lingering hurts and wounds, but it was mother Iris who healed us of our most grievous injuries and brought us away from the battle. She even went so far as to nit us some hats to wear about which touched me, I would die for that woman. Iris told us the queen had requested us. Better to keep moving anyway after all that. So we set out deciding to stop and grab our kits. It was still early morning. Cormag and Raineer took off like bolts across the town in some kinda race to get there first, I didnt see who won. We found out we were in a camp for survivors tended by the earth mother followers again, always helpin us out. We owe em so much, but I always think to when I drowned when theyre around. Gave some coin to a priest to help with the survivors, but left for the castle. Cross town things were normal as we went to the castle. No guards though, most things empty as we arrived. The great hall had already been cleaned like it all never happened. I felt like I needed to go pay respect to linwood, so me and cormag went over and poured one out. I cant remember if the others followed but I remember I definetly wasnt cryin or nothin. We found a few guards as we entered the castle gardens in the queens wing. Ran into altic and chatted with him, we thanked him for his help and he thanked us for savin him. Im just glad any of us made it, but our failure in not saving more haunts me. I need to talk to rainier soon. We found the queen in conference with verna and keen. The archmage. Im glad he made it, i thought he was definitely dead. Verna and the Queen were fightin again loudly, so I walked in to defuse things but they defused themselves. Verna was protesting the queen doin something dangerous I think, but surrendered her spear and said the queen would need it anyway. After a brief exchange with me and cormag who gave her a staff, she left to fight whatever fight she needed to. After we talked with keen about many things. Notes of our journey which he pondered. We had a few ideas about why all this was happening and how to stop it (mostly stuff about the god bhaaland how this is all probably his fault.
