Session 49
Gwenda Additional Notes
I was a fool.
Wait: I gotta take this piece by piece. First off, Glongul showed up looking raggedy, carrying a red lightning sword. Apparently, Kat sent her to help. Also, she claims she was at the Iron Keep, helping the refugees. No idea what she’s really doing here.
Yuril, the disembodied voice, wanted us to disrupt whatever was going on in this room with four stone coffins. The voice had some odd quality to it, and he sounded like he was in pain, so I assumed he was stuck inside one of them. Someone else needed to take his place inside it. I wasn’t going to let any one of us make that sacrifice. Instead, I sacrificed a part of my pride and accessed that part of me I never gave power before. I brought one of the fallen fighters from our earlier scrap back to the room, and with help from Cormag and Kara, put an animated dead into one of the coffins (removing one that was previously there). The evil contraption was activated by the new dead body. Not only did I accidentally contribute to whatever twisted plan is in place, but Yuril sounded the same. And more smug.
He called for our help. He invoked the name of my god. And he has awoken a righteous fury.
