Session 45

Kara   Today we decided to leave the church behind and head for the landing where the refugees may have landed. We had rested enough with the golemancer and spent far too long refurbishing the rotted building to the earth mother. The snow started to fall as we set out and filled me with a sort of cold happiness. I led the lot of us around the trails and went straight there. Along the way however a large snowball struck me in the face… it seemed to come from nowhere and almost fooled me, if Rainier had been able to conceal her huilt. It had been years since I had gotten into a good snowball fight and I immediately plotted my revenge. I ended up throwing a snowball back and hiding the fact that I did I think. Soon a full blown snowball fight erupted and I felt like a child again although snowballs are a bit harder with one hand. In an unusual turn Arya ruined the fun by threatening everyone with death if snow struck her (even though it was snowing.) and was immediately struck by both cormag and Rainieer. After the fun died down we finished our trek to the fishermans village. We discovered traces of broken shields of Alaron origin perhaps from the Iron Keep before we discovered a Dwarf living in the village. His name was Grimbold he Invited us in and proved to be a valuable ally. He Provided liquor and good info without trying to kill us, and was genuinely interested in my hammer. He took us to the refugees boats and told us they went into town seeming trustworthy. We made our way to the overlook after and Gwenda used magic to look into the castle. Discovering they were digging a hole deep into the earth within the tower.   We decided to sneak into the castle via the water and came up with a pretty strong plan to get into the tower. It was then that Raineer delved into her weird double magic brain parasite. She discovered that there was a network of linked minds within the keep going deep underground. Hopefully we can rescue the captain and some of the refugees back to Caer Callidyrr.
