Session 43
Gwenda
I don’t know what’s up with Merdin. Maybe he got some of what Cormag’s got? Mushrooms or something? He straight-out said he has dark influences over the townspeople, but I don’t know if he’s just hallucinating it. I know he’s not a necromancer, despite setting up shop in this overturned graveyard. He’s just weird.
Cormag became Ratchet and scared the weird fella off for a bit. Arya got dancing fever, which I’ve lately learned means that something religiously important is afoot. This place isn’t dedicated to anything Torm-related, so I didn’t quite know how to chip in, but I realized the place was a mess, and my mama taught me right. So I started sweeping up, and I found letters engraved into the floor in really old common. There were vague directions, as is to be expected, so Arya doubled down on her boogie, I made a little fire in the hands of a statue that looked like it was waiting to hold fire, and most of us went down to the lake and did a ritual. After the ritual, Rainier came bolting out of the shack with a new fancy-looking sword! And yes, fancy looking, but not fancy functioning. It seems pretty ceremonial.
The stained glass windows here are really detailed. And the statues are very detailed. I’d love to meet the artists who built this place, but we have to carry on in our mission.
