As soon as we buried him the hearty bastard came right back the same night. Mayuk leading the way he just appeared walking up camp glowin. I knew Cormag wouldn't be lost so easily but he did come back with a fantastic tale. A day for us had been 7 years in the feywild for him as a pit fighting slave. He and a group of others had finally escaped. He said he only found his way back thanks to Gwenda and her spirit magic. I could tell he meant every word as he looked changed. His eye poured bleak smoke and he held himself with more grit. After hearing his tale. I challenged him to a match to see his new skills in action. He surprised me with more speed and technique than yesterday getting a clean wound on me quickly. Clearly the skills of a warrior. His spirit even lunged out and lashed me I think. It's good to have another skilled warrior.
We trudged on after Through the snow away from the woods seeking the narrowest part of the river we had to cross. We ended up Discovering this small rations hut that was nearly abandoned. Forsaking shelter we forged ahead to get to the refugees faster. We found the site of an ambush of the stewards men in high quality gear. Perhaps messengers. Later on our path we found the filthy goblins responsible for the earlier ambush who also had the GALL to attack us.. Their last quarry, we sprang into action to destroy the goblin menace. Running in directly proved too hard, so using the cover of one of cormags illusions we flanked them moving up the hill. Rainier moved me with magic behind them while the rest of us crushed them from the front. It was over within seconds. They broke rank and fled when half of them laid down. None of them escaped to cause further chaos. It feels like we are working more as a team now and it's glorious. Were unstoppable.
