Session 3

General Summary

Journal - Mish Mish   Today started like any other day, being woken up in the middle of the night by ghost bells. Cormag with his infinite wisdom produced a peep hole. It was obvious to see that this wasn’t his first time producing such a pathway to the forbidden since it was swiftly, silently, and expertly produced. Unfortunately, his weak mental fortitude proved to get the better of him as he shuttered and after just one glance immediately dispelled his creation. From his account he saw a convoy of skeletons each with a bell. Once the whole ordeal was over with, I returned back to sleep as covering this parties’ slack is a job that requires all the advantages I can possibly obtain.   In the morning I played a little game I call, “Guide the Sleeping Dwarf Through an Obstacle Course with a Beer Lure”, the game really doesn’t need any form of explaining however I have yet to encounter a participant to fail. Not sure if I’m impressed of worried, if the dwarfs spent half the time on conquests as they do on beer, they would no doubt be ruling the world. Regardless I sent the commoners off to do various remedial tasks, some collected the “cure all potion” potion for Glongal, the other had some sort of fantasy about saving some child poor in need. It’s important to let them feel like they have some sense of control and responsibility, otherwise I’m afraid they’d go soft and ultimately useless. Meanwhile I took a stroll around the town, discovered that the cave specifically was protected with some sort of ancient magic that either stops or punishes violence and crime, I caught up with an old friend that dropped by and I even met an asshole store clerk that inflated prices more then most towns at the bottom of the sea (Try convincing sailors to drop goods off board with rocks tied to them).   We spent some time as a party purchasing weapons with the little money, we had available, and asking for ways to make a profit in a short period of time. In short, we could either outcompete pirates at finding a mystery chest and return it unopened for a measly 100 gold or we could collect wood and sell a tree for a gold. After what felt like six hours of Cormag failing to persuade the dickface store clerk, so I decided that the party needed some direction. I valiantly led the group at the helm and started off on an adventure to seize pirate booty.
