Session 23

Extract -  unknown The fated rest now rest with those cast from the city of Caer Callidyr. Merchants and peasants driven from their homes by the law of the steward. They may have little to their names, but the resources provided to the fated have proven to be useful. After the ritual conducted last night, I bid them well rest as they recover their strength - for they will need it in the days to come.   They awoke early, despite the late rising of the sun, and were greeted by true snowfall. Days like this remind me of simpler times, times of joy and of youth. Times rid of suspicion and vigilance. But today, suspicion is an inevitability striking the hearts of all in the moonshae included the adventuring group gathered here today. The man, Werton, was spotted hurriedly welcoming a cart of surplies, amongst which was black powder. It is rare in these lands, only traded by the dwarves in the north sparingly, so it's presence so far south bodes only ill. I shall remain vigilant as ever.   Once content that they had the necessary gear for their travels ahead, the group bid fairwell to the group of outlaws and struck out into the frozen forest. They moved with great caution, maintaining not one, but two animal scouts. Their eyes however, are atune to only the mundane. Their rest saw the halfling conduct a ritual. It is not a ritual that I have seen before, although it reminds me of a dark magic I have only encountered once before. It was in good faith nonetheless.   The forest's magic has since begun to fog my vision of their progress. After moving closer to their goal, the forest has become wild and inhospitable to those who pass beneath it's branched.    It has come time for me to focus my attention elsewhere. My sight should be used on Caer Callidyr in preparation of what is to come.
