Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Why did I have to get myself involved? I would have been perfectly safe in my spot in the trees. I could have hidden there and let these fools fend for themselves against the necromancers and werewolves- one of whom, mind you, is one of the fools I decided to help. But no, I just had to fire that arrow and somehow found myself on the back of a giant crab- who also is a werewolf?- fighting off a pack of his werewolf friends. So I guess I’m a fool, too, then. I must hand it to them, though- they held their own against spellcasting archers and a quite powerful necromancer (along with the hellish undead creatures she resurrected). And the druid- the one who turned into the freakish werewolf-crab hybrid- I’m not sure what came over me, but for the first time I can remember, I saw, I felt, that my magic can be… fun. Reckless. Spectacular. As hesitant as I am to join a group whose strongest spellcaster doesn’t have full control over his actions, it seems like they might be my best chance at getting where I need to go- even if we did just follow a band of necromancers to their stone fortress in the mountains... But who knows? Maybe they’ll teach me a thing or two along the way.
