The Cryators
In the beginning, before the known world of Braan came to be, earlier thanpeople had ever been imagined, there were 4 Cryators and in their power they were absolute. These were the beings of Aery'll's (including Aery'll's herself) that shaped the world and it's skies in times when there was nothing.
Cryators
Aery'll - The First One
The First Light, the Life Giver, the Light of Life. Aery'll is the first Cryator and the maker of all that exists in Braan. Her thought alone brought about time and space. In the beginning of the Age of Creation, she created the other Cryators and after them the Sevotar to support them in their creation of the mainlands. She and Mortai fought the Endless War before any of the Children of Eala (Children of the Great Tree, blessed by her light of life) were born. Aery'll blessed the Great Tree with her power to bring about the first sentient life of Fallanor, where they would later, after maturing, depart for Braan. Her Children were the Eldars. She was later struck down in her final battle with Mortai, the forces throwing her from back to Fallanor where she later died.Kaar - The Earthmaker
The Cryator of Land was physically the strongest of the three, and he held the power to move the lands as he pleased. In the beginning of the Age of Creation, Aery'll gave him life from her thought to create a material plane, to which Kaar took very seriously. After learning on Fallanor, he went out with the other Cryators to create the mainlands of Braan. In Braan he sculpted mountains, split the earth and constructed valleys. When the Endless War began, Kaar was Aery'll personal guard and he moved mountains to protect her and Deimors from Mortai's forces. He, alongside the other Cryators sacrificed himself after Aery'lls death to create the prison for Mortai. Kaar children are the Dwarves.Maren - The Master of Water
The Cryator of Seas was the most cunning of the Cryators, and for this he was perhaps the most frightening. Maren was devoted to Aery'll with every whim, as were the others, and he filled space with the purest waters so that her light may reflect upon the world. From what he learned on Fallanor with the other Cryators, he went out to the mainlands and spawned oceans, filled seas and forced water through land to create great rivers. In the Endless War Maren protected the edges of Braan, stopping Mortai's armies from crossing the great waters and into the First Lands. He sacrificed himself at the end of the Endless War, alongside the other Cryators to seal Mortai away. His children were the Helwafal, who were eradicated during the end of the War of Flames.Mortai - The Lord of Death
The Cryator of Death was the most keen to discover, and unlike the other Cryators wanted more than anything to learn his purpose. Mortai was imaginative, just like Aery'll, and was unorthodox, yet powerful. It was his purpose to take the souls of the most beautiful, when a life was as it's brightened, and to put it into the sky as bright lights. He found difficulty in learning from Aery'll's Ephroner on Fallanor, and for a time was plagued with dissatisfaction. Eventually, he questioned his purpose and showed the Life Giver what he wanted to create, but it was not as she had thought. Cast out as punishment, Mortai was forced into solitude until one of the Sevotar of Change later released him during the creation of Braan. He started the Endless War with Aery'll, and sought to wipe the purpose of all life, and then planned to shape Fallanor by his own thought. He was defeated when the two Cryators sacrificed themselves and hid him away from any and all light, time, and sound. His children were the Mornfal, soulless beings of shadow and chaos. Today they are many of the much feared creatures and beings of the world.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
