A quiet and studious college music student named River unexpectedly befriends the last person they'd think of having: a football player named Caspian (Casper for short). As the two grow as friends, it is revealed that Mr. Jock is in the closet and needs River's help to come out to his overly masculine and potentially close-minded friends and family. Unfortunately for River, they're going through a phase of gender questioning as they struggle to find an identity that's right for them. And what better way to discover yourself than on a spring break roadtrip? Together with a cast of unique friends, Casper joins River and company on a musical tour of the west coast as they head down from their Washington college, stopping along the way at places where River can perform music, Caspar can visit the stadium of the LA Rams (his favorite NFL Team), and other friends can see this side of the country with each other while they have the youth and freedom to do so. Throughout the journey, friendships are tested, and love is discovered when people express themselves as who they truly are and find peace with themselves.
