Human

Humans are the most adaptable and ambitious people among the common races, with some driven as a means of compensating for their short-lived nature compared to the other races. An individual human might have a relatively short life span, but a human nation or culture preserves traditions with origins far beyond the reach of any single human’s memory. They live fully in the present—making them well suited to the adventuring life—but also plan for the future, striving to leave a lasting legacy. Individually and as a group, humans are adaptable opportunists, and they stay alert to changing political and social dynamics. Or maybe they feel they have something to prove to the elder races, and that’s why they build their nations on the foundation of conquest and trade. Whatever drives them, humans are the innovators, the achievers, and the pioneers of the worlds.   Just as readily as they mix with each other, humans mingle with members of other races and while some can be xenophobic, as a whole they are inclussive of members of different racial heritages, sexual orientations and gender identities. They get along with almost everyone, though they might not be close to many. As a result humans serve as ambassadors, diplomats, magistrates, merchants, and functionaries of all kinds between different cultures.

Valdovan

Valdovan humans are of a pale or tanned skin color, depending on how far north they dwell. Once they held multiple smaller realms in subjugation to the Dragons, yet when the Wyrmbane King arose he united them all under his banner as part of the Utharic Kingdom. They mix and match elements of various racial heritages to suit their needs and are known as adapt traders and warriors and have greatly expanded their realm in the last few centuries. They are organized under a form of the fuedal system with noble Lords and acting as judges and military leaders and the clergy and guilds forming a middle class. Serfdom however came to an end with the founding of the Utharic Kingdom and even the average peasant enjoys a relatively good life. Their common tongue is known as Valdovan Common and most can read and write at least a full words Their names are largely germanic in nature, leaning towards slavic the further north one gets and the more welsh/cornish for the nobility of the west. They Abhor the Dark Gods.

Kraal

Kraal are savage, tribal humans dwelling within the northern outskirts and wilds of the continent, who have blood ties to the folk of the icy continent of Kralica. They hold close relations to the savage goblinoids and orcs that hold sway in those lands. They live a brutal hunter-gatherer life and are mostly nomadic due to the migrating nature of their prey and the harshness of the winter that plagues their lands. To them, might makes right and the brutality of their existence drives them to supplicate themselves before the Dark Gods and only their mercy and power allows them to survive. Their Common Tongue is known as Kra'al and has a large basis in orcish and goblin, their names are based are largely old germanic or nicknames that denote their achievements in life.
