Half-Orc

It is not uncommon for orcish tribes to seal their alliance to barbaric human tribes by interbreeding. The strongest and most fierce of the human man and woman would be chosen to have children with an orcish man or woman. While their union is seldom one of true love, no Orc would lower themselves by taking a weak, unworthy mate. As a result, Half-Orcs share the best of both Orc and Men and often end up leading the now allied tribes as respected members. As such many half-orcs are proud of their strong lineage, though within civil lands this often differs greatly.
With most orcish interactions boiling down to active hostilities with civil folk, half-Orcs are to some a reminder of the pain and hardship the borderlands have to endure. Often distrusted, feared or even outright hated for their lineage, many take to wandering in search of adventure or to improve their lot in life through force of arms. Others still take up the mantle of crusaders in order to prove their worth to the world.
