Genasi

Whether from a union or pacts formed a long time ago between genie and mortal, Genasi are heirs to the elemental powers.
Genasi inherit something from both sides of their dual nature, empowered by the energy of the Elemental Chaos that houses the elementals. They resemble humans or another of the mortal races but have unusual skin color and body patterns . Fire Genasi have Red and Orange skin tones with fiery haircolor. Water Genasi have cyan and blue skin tones with hair ranging from blue, purple or green hues. Air Genasi have pale blue skin colors with blonde, blue or white hair color and Earth Genasi have gray skin tones with dark hair colors.
Seen in silhouette, a genasi can usually pass for human. Those of earth or water descent tend to be heavier, while those of air or fire tend to be lighter. A given genasi might have some features reminiscent of the mortal parent (pointed ears from an elf, a stockier frame and thick hair from a dwarf, small hands and feet from a halfling, exceedingly large eyes from a gnome, and so on.
Genasi almost never have contact with their elemental forebears. Genies seldom have interest in their mortal offspring, seeing them as accidents. Many feel nothing for their genasi children at all.
Due to the Abyss being located in the Elemental Chaos, sometimes a Genasi manifests an Abyssal Corruption. Known as the Caustic, Cinder, Plague and Void souls, twisted versions of their kin and touched by evil's foul hand these accursed children are hunted and killed before they can hear the call of the Abyss.
Genasi are an uncommon sight in Valdova, their unusual appearance and strange magic making them an exotic sight wherever they go, or assuming leadership of savage humanoids and weird cults in untamed lands or places of elemental power.
