Siphoned Music

After the Musicalich assaulted my dear Symphon friend, one would assume that he would be gravely injured, or dead. But none of that all. My friend was in perfect fine condition on the outside, but from the inside he was beyond saving. His inner music has been siphoned, and i knew that i would never see my friend again

Having your inner music siphoned is a terrible fate that, in the Musical continent at least, is considered so severe that one might as well take out a death sentence instead of resorting to this.

Causes

There are many different causes that can cause someone's inner music to be siphoned. Most prevalent cause is the fatal magic the Musicalich uses to drain music around it. But it also has been documented that several beings and objects that are not Musicaliches have been cursed by Orchast to suffer a life without inner music.

Symptoms

The victim immediately turns into a catatonic state, unable to process or make any action. Its brain stops thinking its intricate melody, the heart stops its rhythm. Nothing the victim will ever do can contain any music. One might as well say that the soul has been siphoned from the very body, but this is not the case. The soul is still intact, even though every ounce of life energy has been taken from it.

Treatment

There is no treatment as of yet, considering that siphoned music originally was a curse bestowed by the gods. Hence the insane difficulty of finding a cure for the condition. Several people have tried to cast greater restoration or revivify on the patient, but no spell or potion has been found that can bring back the siphoned inner music of a being.

Prognosis

Eventually, the victim will die. There is no other way for it to heal, but in this case death is accelerated because the victim has basically no life within it.
There are some exceptions however. Through an inexplicable event, a victim of siphoned inner music can be able to convey the wish to end its catatonic state and resume a, relatively, normal life. Its form changes and it becomes another Musicalich, still siphoned from its inner music but no longer catatonic.

Cultural Reception

Siphoned music is the biggest fear of any living being on the world of Blomaria. Nobody wants to end its life in a catatonic state, with the soul just barely clinging on to life for what seems to be an eternity. Musicaliches are immensely feared because of their ability to inflict this condition, and some folks have formed death cults around the great power of the Music Siphon.
