Bladepunk 1577

The villain known as "The Marionetist" wants to combine the components of the artefact known as the "crown of the deep king" in order to release an army of automata from their stasis deep within the world in order to carve themselves a grand empire. The components are long lost but agents search across the world to find and retrieve them at any cost. These agents also act to destabilise and weaken the existing powers so that their masters rise to power will be less opposed.   Multiple organisations from across the world operate against them in the shadows, fighting their malign influence with sword, sorcery and clockwork gadgetry.   Bladepunk / clockpunk world. mainly in continental Europe, but with the possibility of travel to North Africa and the orient.   Theme - Sacrifice vs Selfishness - Free Will vs Manipulated Path
