[OVERVIEW] After the collapse of the power grid, Mexico was the first country in North America to fall as the gangs there wasted no time in establishing their dominance. In the wake of the conflicts that rocked the cartel’s hold on power in Mexico and threatening mutual destruction for all parties involved due to the increasing brutality of the fighting, an uneasy peace treaty of the most influential gangs and cartels has emerged. It is a tenuous armistice at best, with inter-gang warfare still prone to breaking out. As a result, several have begun capturing USA territory around the border to ease the pressure they were exerting on eachother. Yet it hasn’t proven enough to satiate the greed of the cartels as the treaty seems ever more likely to crumble every day. The whole of the southwest is holding its breath in anticipation of the powderkeg moment that will blow the entire region into total war.
