Augmented Commando Service
Newly formed joint SOF task-force unit under the direct jurisdiction of the NAL Security Council. Highly classified but legendarily known for their advanced tech and high survivability rate. The surviving TALOS suits that were stored in hardened bunkers were quickly given to priority special operations units as a means to curb the rising insurrection. While their technological capabilities are greatly diminished from their pre-blackout status, they remain at the forefront of infantry warfare capabilities and they've quickly taken on a near-mythological status.
Anyone vaguely aware of the ACS is hesitant to engage with them in combat with surrender a common decision for those who value their lives. The ACS' limited numbers however severely restrict their functionality, much to the relief of the NAL's enemies, so they're typically relegated to use in critical raids/assaults or acting as shock troopers to break enemy lines.
Their armored exoskeletons allow for rapid foot insertion in areas where vehicles or aircraft would risk mission success and allows them to operate without support where they're often sent on what would normally be considered suicidal missions. They're typically unseen until the point of contact, which by that point is often too late to mount an effective defense against their superior training and technology.
The ACS is a joint task force including various special operations units across the different branches of the associated militaries. Their only true unifying feature is the technology they use and a centralized command, otherwise they're a wildly disparate unit spread throughout the USA and Canada where they're fielded in small numbers.
