Esseborne

The Esseborne (/ˈɛsəbɔːn/ e-SE-born) or Essenceborne are beings intertwined with the mundane forces and concepts. Essebornes are those who choose to bear the concept of the forces.

The Tale of the First Esseborne

In a land just right after time was recorded, man fell in love with the concept of the elements, like a moth to flame. There was once a man who love the concept of flame, he gave his body to the flame and plea to the gods to be reborn. Thus, a cardinal from the outer realm, sew his soul to the flame to be renewed with the essence of fire. Since then, there have been more people who plea to the gods to sow their souls to many other elements.

There are many Essebornes in the Black Marble. Some think that it is only four, the same ones based on classical elements, but there are undoubtedly more; ranging from Wu Xing to Alchemy, from concepts to just about everything natural in our lives that can be personified.
