In a strange alternate earth, just one change makes all the difference. There are two different species of humans, one exactly like those we know, and one with the ability to manipulate energy in the surrounding environment. Black Hollow City State used to be a small town in Wyoming. Now it's an independent city state with half the population of New York City.   The city state is rife with internal conflict, split between the Primen and the Magi. Despite their advanced powers, Magi find themselves outnumbered nearly three to one. This has lead to de facto segregation and tight laws regarding the use of magic.   Outside the city, there live two groups of freedom fighting Magi. One all female and their strange adopted companion, one all male and their mysterious spiritual matriarch. Each day the Primen extremist politicians tighten their fists around the Magi citizens. It's time to fight back.
