The mages of the brotherhood gather to a holy ceremony which includes practise of black magic. In the belief that in order to create a new world they must destroy the old, they call upon the darkest demon of them all.

As a prelude to the rise of the 9th century, the mages of the brotherhood gather in a secret facility in Fall. The brotherhood has, since its founding in the Year of the Receiving, followed the philosophy of the phoenix, and for that purpose practised black magic, a branch of magic that is considered taboo in the rest of the kingdom.   It was planned out from the beginning of the order's existence that, at this exact time and place, they should make their first move and execute the grand plan. In their secret facility they hold the so far most holy ceremony of them all; to summon a demon before the new century arises, they must begin calling a month in advance and charge up even before that.   The demon that is to be summoned is the embodiment of madness and infinity, of destruction and the end of life itself. They call upon the Demon of Chaos.
