Sepa

The First-Hatched of his brood, Sepa spent his youth on Lania, a planet where metallic dragons write the laws and chromatic dragons enforce them. Lania is nearly entirely reptilian or draconic, except for the large herds of various sized mammalian and avian prey-animals. Early on, Sepa had a nasty experience with some dire-apes, and even today creatures like them can shake his normally-unwavering courage. When the Arcanamirium of Sable opened the bridge to Lania and FEx-Corps sent a bridgehead group through, they were met with jungle and a displeased pair of a silver and black dragon. An agreement was struck that FEx-Corps would be generously gifted the land in a one mile radius of the portal, but would be given no quarter if they stepped so much as an inch outside that boundary.   Sepa, brave curious lizard that he was, poked his head inside the FEx-Corps land and learned from one of the employees that he was, in their language, a varanus komodoensis or Komodo Dragon. Keith Sterat, the gunnery sergeant in charge of the enlisted troops on Lania, took a liking to the little guy and agreed to be Sepa’s mentor to help the lizard achieve his obvious destiny of becoming a dragon. Sepa eventually was granted leave to pass through the portal, and joined a school for FEx-Corps cadets-to-be with Sterat’s sternly worded blessing.   Sepa quickly became a favorite of the cadets in S block and they named him their mascot. He excelled in survival training, but became utterly useless in colder climates. Due to his limitations as infantry, when he graduated from the academy he was sent for further training to the Special Division on Area 63.   After earning his Adventurer’s License, Sepa was a bit adrift for what to do in order to become a dragon. While in his dorm, however, he saw a posting of the ‘Prophecy of the Wyrm’ from an oracle looking into Python. He grabbed it and immediately headed to Python, sure of his dragon destiny.   On Python, he was met with strange and mistrusting looks, but on Rhaz’s advice, he sought out Dezy and the other adventurers who had seen local dragons. Dezy agreed to take him on as an employee and alert him to any dragon-related events on Python.
