Before and After Overlook

An AD&D adventure world involving a mix of a prequel stories and sequel stories connecting and revolving around the two films "The Shining" and "Doctor Sleep". My attempt is to create an origin to the Evil of Overlook, how it was handled (and why it went on for over 70 years) leading up to the final reckoning of Danny - who imprisoned the evil spectres until they were released in agony from Rose the Hat (Doctor Sleep). Danny still ended the Overlook menace by burning it down. However, the evil beings akin to the True Knots - which branch from a worldwide sect of demonically bonded individuals feed on the spiritual essence or steam of gifted folk. Abra - who defeated the True Knots and since inherited from Danny the task of containing evil spirits like those in Overlook, has become aware of more groups like the true Knots conspiring to gain power and bring about the coming of Mr. Flagg, who promises them true immortality and plenty of food. She searches for those who can resist and help stave off the coming of Randall Flagg.
