Beatha Rioban (Bee-tha Ri-o-ban)

The Ribbon is a very singular place and if you could view it from such a distance to truly view its nature you may not quite be able to believe its existence for the continents and seas of this world cling to the inside of a gigantic wide band curled into a loop. Indeed why the deep marine waters do not flow out into the cosmos and the landmasses slip from the surface similarly is unknown. It is not a question those who call The Ribbon home bother pondering, being blissfully ignorant of how unique structure of their home is in the universe.   The Ribbon casually orbits the star Buii   Standing on the surface the lazy curl of the horizon on the Crownward and Rimward edges can be seen rising into the atmosphere especially in clear weather especially at dawn and dusk. Both edges can only be seen at the same time on the highest of mountains located centrally. The atmosphere blocks vision of the opposite side of the ring. Views are also blocked by the world's moon which sits in the centre of the ring where it rotates at the same rate as The Ribbon meaning the same aspects of moon and land always face each other.
