Machines of the Spire
The Automatons that construct the Eternal Spire spare little time for interaction with others, set solely on gathering materials to continue expanding the Eternal Spire.
Lacking the will to give each other names or titles, the only way to differentiate one machine from another is through their attachments for carrying scrap, and the level of wear they have experienced.
Each machine wanders from the spire to the nearest unclaimed wreckage, and loads itself up with as much scrap as possible, before returning back to the spire. From there they either pass off the scrap to a worker within the tower, or begin wandering their way upwards, patching up damaged areas and expanding the tower in all directions.
It is unknown why they act the way they do, some people believe it's some kind of shared glitch in programming, while others believe there is an individual at the top of the Eternal Spire commanding their every move.
