Corruption

Corruption is the result of the core components of an Automaton or Golem becoming damaged, corrupt, or wearing down over time. The result is a machine that effectively has gone mad.

Corrupt Automatons become violently unpredictable, their responses to normal situations suddenly ranging from indifference to violent outbursts. Their speech output becomes corrupted, with their speech sounding garbled and distorted, and frequently nonsensical.

It is best to avoid an Automaton that appears corrupt, as there is a good chance they will attack on sight. Some Automatons claim to be able to repair some of the corruption wirelessly by copying parts of their internal workings to the corrupt individual, but there is a perceived risk of the corruption spreading to other automatons that come in contact with them.
