King Bosun

Is something dead if it is remembered so fondly?

King Bosun Tirian

There is a saying, rarely spoken but once you notice it you cannot unsee it. The saying goes "The more you push forward, the harder you're going to get flung back when you slip up." and King Bosun is the perfect example of it.

The head of a global civilisation, his citizens ripe with technology and intellect. They pushed the very boundaries of both the physical world and the arcane. So powerful that he thought he could fight the gods themselves. The elder gods didn't stand a chance, the Ancients were too powerful, their technology too adaptive to be overcome. One by one they were slain. Until the very last one, Smokin. In the final battle, all of Bosun's children fought with him. One by one they fell until only Bosun was left. The history gets blurry here, however, the main theory is that Bosun slew Smokin but in the end he died too.

With their King gone the Ancients started to lose hope, their endeavours in the Elder God Wars drained their resources and a dark disease spread through the lands, only infecting the Ancients and sparing their slaves. I find it funny how there are adventurers going into their ruins now, thinking they have the answer to everything. However, what happens if we uncover something serious something so inconceivable, we end up like them?
