Draconian spawning

Draconians spawning was a technique once used by dragon-kin conclaves to create their own homunculi soldiers. The method has long been lost, with only legends and old scrolls remaining to tell of the draconian's existence. vat-grown from dragon egg shards. Yet a picture can be created from these remaining sources.

Method

To create a draconian one first needed to create the spawning goo. First a large collection of different meats and beans are put into a large barrel and smashed by feet into a thick mash. Then a large collection of minerals and plants are grounded down into a thick nutrient slime. The protein mash and the nutrient slime are then combined with holy water in a large vat and mixed until they turn into a thick goo. All the while a priest has been chanting over and blessing each individual ingredient during the entire process. The goo was than placed in a pool in the ground, made of emeralds: this was to be the spawning pool of the next platoon of Draconians.   The goo had to rest for a day before the next step could began. When ready small shards of an unfertilised dragon egg were thrown into the vat. Inside the vat these were turned into small tadpoles. Each day a priest would come in, reciting the special rites that would install into them a warrior's skill and knowledge. Over time these grew and grew until they took on a more humanoid shape. As they matured they would eventually grow wings and a tail, resembling a mix of dragon-born and dragon. Once they had fully grown, a process which usually took a month, they burst up from the spawning goo, fully matured and ready for combat. Each vat could grow 20 soldiers each month.   The draconians were the perfect expendable soldiers, able to fight and cheap to create. They had wings, which allowed them to slow down their fall and to increase their jump height, and a strong whip-like tail witch they could use to defend themselves when disarmed. Inside their bodies they had several sacks filled with a petrifying gas. When slain these sacks would either be penetrated or burst open by the pressure the draconian's muscles would unleash on them in their dying throes.
