Epic V - Chapter 7: Wind and Snow

General Summary

Needfest 17 - 20, 1217
A week passes and the Research team makes it up to Weals where the party rejoin and tell them that they are willing to venture into the Plane of Air. Before they head off to the Gate, discerned to be in the Orger Hills, Gerald explains to them a few key factors he was not able to beforehand. They will not be paid for this, for they have no resources to do so. He also inquires and explains that they are looking for a powerful artifact in possession of a trusted ally of the Magi of the Lotus Flower, named the Conglomerate Staff of Elementals.
With this, the party head out to Ilixa Village, where they are met with a powerful storm and surprised to see the village has integrated a warband of Orcs. Due to the powerful storm, everything in the Orger Hills has been jutted out, including two dangerous Wyverns and their Kobold servants. Due to a transgression earlier made by Taskil, the party are required to deal with the threat for killing some of the Orc men, induced by the Orc leader, Grun, the Strength of Many and the Reeve Crontine. The Party set out to deal with the Wyverns, which proves to be a difficult task within this maelstrom of ice and snow. And when the party finds that killing Wyverns may be the end of them, a serpentine-like creature makes an appearance in the sky and with the opening of its mouth, blows everything away with a powerful gale.
What in god's names was that thing and did everyone just die? What will happen next?
