Chapter 23: At a Loss

General Summary

Date: Coldeven 26, 1215 Late Afternoon - Coldeven 27, 1215
The White Ringed Bandits are coming for Hamor, and no one knows what to do. The fake Lord Artip and his wife, are hiding out in their manor, surrounding themselves with the guards that are still loyal. Many of the nobles who forfeit thim are residing in the local taverns and inns, contemplating what to do in light of the coming invasion in 12 hours. The party find themselves at a loss, unsure of the next step, and are contemplating the town's future.
In a giving mood, Lady Monda gives an overdue reward to the party of gold for saving the Lords and Ladies days prior, as well as her family’s bow, Arar, as she no longer needs it. Unwilling to accept their fate, Silver rallies the people of Hamor while Drake and Varis prep defenses.Felicia however is goaded by a man in black. As the impending time came, an army of White Ringed Bandits surrounded the southern gates. The bandit captain demand for the traitors Wulfa and Sable’s heads, but the party was both unable and unwilling to cooperate. However, time pases and it becomes more and more obvious that the bandits aren’t doing anything. The party go down to see what’s up and the man in black reveals himself to be the Bandit Lord of the White Ringed Bandits, Werner. He extends his graces and wishes to ally himself with them. He claims there is much bigger threat and gives the party three choices. Join him, leave the town, or force his hand into a fight. Unwilling to be played by bandits any longer, one third the party consisting of Drake and Varis, decide to fight Werner to drive him out using the rallied men of the town.
Their plan backfires as Werner has had some of his men implanted within the town beforehand. Knocking the two out single handedly, Werner goes to Lord Artip’s Manor, where he then returns with the two traitors heads. Being as they lost, Werner drives the party out east to Elam, but not before he warns them of the other Bandit Lord his is resisting. Before they make their leave, Felicia and Silver clear out the stolen goods found within the confines of the fake lord’s manor.
