Strahd's Letter

This letter is signed by Strahd Von Zarovich and was found in a hidden room in the Durst Estate Manor within a previously trapped chest that contained the skeletal remains of some poor adventurer who had triggered the poisonous trap. Alongside this letter they also found the bloodied journal, some scrolls and other bits and pieces which upon exiting the manor either tarnished or turned to dust

There is a date at the top and the parchment appears yellowed, slightly worn with age and is written in neat cursive script in black ink which eerily matches that of Burgomaster's Letter #1

You pathetic worm,

I am not a messiah sent to you by the dark powers of this land. I have not come to lead you on a path to immortality. However many souls you have bled on your altar, however many visitors you have tortured in your dungeon, know that you are not the ones who brought me to this land....You are nothing but worms writhing on my earth

You say you are cursed and your fortunes spent....You abandoned love for madness... although this stemmed from a place of need... Furthermore you took solace in the bosom of another woman and sired a stillborn son, cursed by darkness? Of that I have no doubt.... Save you from your wretchedness? I think not, you will waste away like the rotten beings you are
