Sinclair’s Three Blessings
After her ascension Sinclair gained godly powers with which she blessed her three children and their descendants. The true nature of the blessings and how they work are still a mystery to the clan. What they do know is the effects of the blessings and how they are used. The blessings are passed down through the three separate separate bloodlines of the Sinclair clan.
The descendants of Qiu can use what is called the Chieftain’s Blessing. Both men and woman can use the blessing but only the Sinclair Chieftain is taught how to use it by his or her predecessor. The blessing allows the Chieftain to pass all of their knowledge to another telepathically. It is very useful for a leader because the new Chieftain receives all the wisdom needed to lead without having to go through the mistakes usually needed to gain such wisdom. Given the nature of the blessing, it’s true nature is kept secret from the Sinclair public and other nations don’t even know it exists.
The descendants of Qiang can use what is called the Blessing of Grief. It belongs exclusively to the Grieving Warriors. The blessing increases the personal strength and even cultivation of every member of the bloodline. The reason it is called the Blessing of Grief is because the effect is spread evenly across all members of the bloodline, meaning that the less members their are the stronger the blessing for the living members. In other words, the more Grieving Warriors that die, the stronger the survivors. So as to maximise the blessing’s effectiveness the Grieving Warriors have remained small, their number rarely raising above a few thousand. The blessing can only by passed down through the male line but it is effective on both sexes.
The descendants of of Qing can use what is called the Blessing of Insight. It can only be used by women and is passed down the female line. When used on a man, he will be compelled to tell the truth to the woman using it, and he will even feel it was his own decision. Qing was very unlucky in love with men often using her to gain influence with her mother and clan. Sinclair gave her daughter this blessing so she could unveil men’s nature before she built any feelings for them and got burnt. The clan leaders saw the potential of this blessing and developed the Sinclair Harlot Network, sending women with the blessing into other countries as prostitutes to extract secrets from high ranking men who visited them. Naturally it is the closest kept secret of the entire clan and telling it to outsiders is treason. The skill requires a little training to use but is taught widely throughout the clan.
