St. Andral's Church

Overview:
St Andral's church is home to an ancient relic that claims to protect the town from Strahd's minions. Their deity is one named "The Morninglord", who is said to have gone quiet in recent decades. Still the priest, Father Lucian, stands by his belief that with enough devotion, he will one day return to shine light upon their town.


As opposed to the rest of Vallaki, the surrounding graveyard is shrouded with mist. Father Lucian claims to have a theory that those whose loved ones are buried on these grounds may not be remaining of the dead- instead rising as thralls of the count, however bares his silence for fear of disrespecting the deceased if proven incorrect.


The church preaches for hope and salvation. Each man and woman who prays within its walls pray for continued protection from Strahd- that one day the sun may shine overhead and cast aside the fogs that bar their freedom beyond the city walls.

Layout
Stained glass windows outline the walls of this establishment, each portraying various forms of The Morninglord. A marble statue of him sits at the head of the altar which depicts him with celestial prowess- wings elevating him from the very land itself and what appears to be the sun clasped betwixt his palms.

St. Andral's Church is a church of the Morning Lord in the city of Vallaki in Barovia. Father Lucian Petrovich is the church's deacon, assisted by the altar boy Yeska and the gravedigger Milivoj.
